According to Ken Rosenthal, the Atlanta Braves are designating Alex Verdugo for assignment, clearing a roster spot for Jurickson Profar, who is making his return from an 80-game PED suspension.

There was a moment in time when Alex Verdugo was called up by the Braves and immediately helped the club climb back to .500. However, that feels like decades ago at this point. Since May 6th, he is barely hitting over the Mendoza Line with no home runs, a .481 OPS, and just 5 RBIs over 42 games.
Verdugo has been absolutely abysmal, and while there are questions about the type of production the Braves will get out of Jurickson Profar after he was popped for PEDs, if he is even an average baseball player, it will be a night and day difference between him and Verdugo.
