Braves make flurry of roster moves ahead of series with Mariners
Kyle Ross-Imagn Images

Ahead of their series with the Seattle Mariners this weekend, the Atlanta Braves announced a flurry of roster moves.

Jurickson Profar has been activated from the paternity list. Daysbel Hernandez has also been recalled from AAA Gwinnett to rejoin the bullpen. To make room on the roster, Luke Williams was designated for assignment and Cal Quantrill was released. Additionally, Wander Suero was claimed off waivers by the New York Mets.

Nothing too surprising today. It will be nice to get Profar back in the lineup after a brief absence, as he hopes to build off an outstanding August in which he hit nine home runs.

Not having to ever watch Cal Quantrill pitch for the Braves again is also a plus. In his two starts for the club, he posted a gaudy 13.50 ERA.
