The Milwaukee Brewers enter Wednesday’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers up 2-0 in the National League Championship Series. The Brewers are looking to advance to the World Series this week, and they’re hoping to do so with a couple of key players who are up for an impressive award.
Second baseman Brice Turang and outfielder Jackson Chourio are up for the 2026 National League Gold Glove Award in their respective positions.
Turang has the opportunity to win his second Gold Glove Award after winning it in 2024, and he has a great chance to do so. The Brewers second baseman led the NL with 219 putouts and led the MLB with 91 double plays. His .992 fielding percentage was third-best among all second basemen, up from the .987 league average.
His teammate, Chourio, also has a strong case for the award among outfielders in the NL. He leads the MLB with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in the outfield, and had 13 defensive runs saved. This would be his first Gold Glove Award since making his MLB debut in 2024.
While being named a Gold Glove Award finalist is an honor in and of itself, the focus for the Brewers’ pair is to win the pennant and advance to the World Series for the first time since 1982, with a chance to bring the franchise’s first World Series title to Milwaukee.
