On Friday, April 3 Pat Murphy’s Milwaukee Brewers were slated to play the Kansas City Royals in a game exclusively televised on Apple TV. While fans rightfully were up in arms over the need for having another subscription to a streaming service in order to watch a ball game, mother nature had other plans as rain delayed the contest.
Now, the Brewers and Royals will play a double header on Saturday, April 4. Both games will be available on Brewers TV, with first pitch at 1:10 PM CT and 6:10 PM CT.
Despite the rainout, Murphy and on-field reporter for Apple TV Tricia Whitaker held an on field interview. These two went viral last year when Murphy pulled a pancake out of his pocket and ate it as a mid game snack, which started a pocket pancake frenzy in the state of Wisconsin.
While the game was rained out, Murphy’s surprise for Whitaker this year was quite surprising.
After last year’s pocket pancake chaos, Murphy decided to cause problems for Whitaker this year by presenting her with what he called a “pocket turtle”. During the interview, he presented a live turtle and gifted it to Whitaker, while also telling her good luck flying with the animal.
Welp…….The Brewers now have a pet turtle.
A pocket turtle.

Friday’s rainout may have delayed the Brewers-Royals action, but it didn’t stop Murphy from keeping the viral tradition alive, albeit with a twist. Last year it was a pocket pancake; this year, a living “pocket turtle” made its debut, leaving fans and Whitaker both surprised and entertained.
