Key Points:
Almost everything went right for the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday, but there was one nerve-wracking development during their 9-3 home win over the Chicago Cubs.
Second-year outfielder Jackson Chourio left the game in the top of the eighth inning with right hamstring tightness, via the Brewers' social media. The 21-year-old was having a historic game, as he became the first MLB player to ever notch three hits in the first two innings of a postseason contest, via MLB Network's Sarah Langs.
Chourio hit a leadoff double in the bottom of the first before hitting a two-run single in the same frame. The second-year player then hit an RBI infield single in the second, which brought the score to 9-1.
Chourio had a positive tone postgame, via MLB.com's Adam McCalvy.
“I’m good. First and foremost, I’m happy we got the win," he said. "Physically, I feel good.”
Chourio added that his exit was precautionary and he's still waiting on a diagnosis, via McCalvy.
“We're still waiting [on a diagnosis from the doctors]. But physically, I feel good, and I feel I’m in a position where I'm ready to keep going and ready to keep competing,” he continued.
Chourio underwent an MRI after leaving the game.
Jackson Chourio sounds a lot different than Murph: “I’m good. First and foremost, I’m happy we got the win. Physically, I feel good.”

He’s saying it was precautionary to exit the game.
Chourio spent a month on the injured list after straining the same hamstring against the Cubs on July 29, so Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy was spooked by the deja vu postgame, via McCalvy.
“Obviously it’s real scary having that hamstring injury to the same leg," he said. "We’re hoping it’s something he can come back from soon. … It could be devastating.”
Chourio is an essential piece to the team, as he finished fourth on the squad with 148 hits over just 131 games in the regular season. The top three players in that category all played at least 11 more contests.
If Chourio missed extended time again, Milwaukee would be down one of its best players at the most important time of year. It's one thing to be out a few weeks in the regular season, but the Brewers need all the help they can get in a competitive NL playoff bracket.
They're now up 1-0 over the Cubs in the best-of-five NL Division Series, with Game 2 scheduled for Monday night on TBS. After that, they'll travel to Chicago for Games 3 and 4 (if necessary for 4).
