Brian Snitker reveals plan for Ronald Acuña Jr.

The Braves made the exciting announcement official today, sending Ronald Acuña Jr. out on his rehab assignment which will begin with the Florida Complex League.

Now the guessing games begin: When will the 2023 NL MVP make his highly anticipated return to the Braves lineup?

Brian Snitker helped us out with that question today when he told reporters Acuña will not only hit in his first game back, but he’ll also play 4-5 innings in the outfield.

The Braves waited much longer than originally anticipated to begin Ronald Acuña Jr.’s rehab assignment, but now that it’s begun, it appears the training wheels are off. They are treating this like the beginning of Spring Training for their star outfielder, and this looks like a rehab assignment that might not last too long, provided there are no setbacks.

If Acuña is playing good baseball, once he plays a full nine innings in a few straight days, it’s go time. It’s very possible he’s back before the end of the month, probably even likely.
