Cardinals activate OF Jordan Walker (wrist) from IL

The St. Louis Cardinals activated outfielder Jordan Walker (wrist) from the 10-day injured list on Saturday.

Walker had been sidelined since May 28 with left wrist inflammation. He returned to the lineup on Saturday against the host Milwaukee Brewers and went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run in an 8-5 victory.

This season, Walker has recorded three home runs, 23 RBIs, and three stolen bases with a .217/.278/.589 batting line across 48 games.

The 23-year-old was a first-round pick (No. 21 overall) in the 2020 MLB Draft. He had an impressive rookie campaign in 2023, hitting .276 with 16 home runs, 51 RBIs and seven stolen bases in 117 games.

In a corresponding move, outfielder Michael Siani was optioned to Triple-A Memphis. The 25-year-old appeared in 19 games this season. In 19 plate appearances, he recorded four hits and two walks.
