Friday's scheduled series opener between the St. Louis Cardinals and Reds in Cincinnati was postponed due to inclement weather in the forecast.

The game is scheduled to be made up Saturday as part of a split-doubleheader. The first game is scheduled to begin at 1:10 p.m. ET, while the second game will start at 7:15 p.m.

The Cardinals have yet to announce a Game 1 starter, while right-hander Chris Paddack (0-5, 7.07 ERA) is slated to start for the Reds, per MLB.com. In the nightcap, right-handers Andre Pallante (4-4, 4.04) of St. Louis and Chase Petty (0-0, 4.76) of Cincinnati are scheduled to take the mound.

St. Louis is starting a six-game road trip after losing two of three to the Pittsburgh Pirates, including a 6-2 defeat on Thursday. The Cardinals are 15-8 away from Busch Stadium this season.

Cincinnati ended the month of April atop the National League Central standings with a 20-11 record before losing 13 of its next 19 games.
