Carlos Correa still cannot escape the wrath of Los Angeles Dodgers fans.

The Minnesota Twins played the Dodgers on Monday at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif. During the Twins shortstop Correa’s very first at-bat of the game of the second inning, he was on the receiving end of a harsh chant.

The Dodger faithful broke out into an extremely loud chorus of “Cheater!” Here is the video.

Correa, the three-time MLB All-Star, played on the Houston Astros from 2015-21 and won the World Series with them in 2017. That was the infamous World Series victory that was marred by the Astros’ illegal sign-stealing scandal, and it was the Dodgers whom the Astros defeated in the Fall Classic that year to boot.

The 30-year-old Correa left Houston to sign with the Twins before the 2022 campaign and is now in his fourth season as a member of the team. Correa has also batted an impressive .289 with an .809 OPS over his last two seasons combined with Minnesota.

But Correa is still largely associated with the cheating scandal from back in his Houston days. He was previously involved in an infamous incident with then-Dodgers pitcher Joe Kelly a few years ago and has even been taunted by rival players over the scandal ever since joining the Twins. On Monday, it was Dodgers fans’ turn to remind Correa of his past history.
