Chicago White Sox Dominating Competition Post All-Star Break

The Chicago White Sox have set the world on fire coming out of the All-Star break. They are the first team in league history to win each of their first four games out of the All-Star break by five+ runs. Chicago has outscored the opposition 35-10 over their last four games. They swept the Pirates coming out of the break and took the opening game of their series against the Tampa Bay Rays. Can the Chicago White Sox keep it up?

Chicago White Sox Season Summary

Following a historically bad 2024 season, the White Sox have been better in 2025. In their defense, that was not a tall task. Chicago still has the second-worst record in Major League Baseball. They are 30th in team batting average, 28th in home runs, and 27th in runs scored. No player on the team’s offense has stood out this season.

Chicago’s pitching staff has been better. They are 19th in ERA, 21st in opposing batting average, and 25th in WHIP. The team’s lone All-Star was Starting Pitcher Shane Smith. Right after pitching in the game, he was placed on the IL. That is terrible luck for the ballclub.

Final Thoughts

The Chicago White Sox will look to keep it going tonight against the Tampa Bay Rays. Even though a postseason berth is not in Chicago’s future, they have been showing great fight.
