Reds ace Hunter Greene is headed to Arizona as he continues to rehab.

Speaking with reporters before Wednesday’s game, Reds manager Terry Francona said the plan for Greene will be to rehab out in Arizona.

“We don’t really have a road map,” Francona said. “When you ask a guy to go out pitch, compete, and give it his all, he’s got to feel confident that when he lets it go he’ll be okay… He’ll be the only one that’s going to know that.”

Greene has been sidelined with a groin strain. Multiple scans and tests have revealed no further injury. The strain has not worsened, according to reports, it just hasn’t gone away.

Greene last pitched on June 3rd against the Brewers at Great American Ballpark.
