The Cincinnati Reds released 24-year-old minor league pitcher Gabriel Aguilera on Friday.

Aguilera impressed in 2024, making 19 starts and appearing in 25 games across Low-A Daytona and High-A Dayton with an ERA of 3.55. He had 70 strikeouts over 99 innings.

However, he dealt with injuries much of this season and has pitched in just eight games with a 5.74 ERA across 31 1/3 innings.

The Reds originally signed Aguilera to a minor league deal back in October of 2018.
