They have sent Hunter Greene on a rehab assignment in Triple-A with the Louisville Bats.

Hunter Greene

The Cincinnati Reds have sent starting pitcher Hunter Greene on a rehab assignment with the Louisville Bats. Greene made one start this spring. Then he was placed on the injury list and had to have surgery on his right elbow. Greene made 19 starts for the Reds last season, going 7-4 with a 2.76 ERA through 107.2 innings of work. He struck out 132 batters, walked 26, had a 0.94 WHIP, and allowed a .192 average against last season.

P.J. Higgins

Today, the Reds have sent catcher P.J. Higgins outright to the Louisville Bats in Triple-A. Higgins has played in 14 games this year for the Reds with a .231 batting average. He has one double and four RBI in 26 at-bats this season.

Will Banfield

The Reds have sent Catcher Will Banfield outright to the Louisville Bats in Triple-A. Banfield has played in 50 games for the Bats this season with a .281 batting average. He has nine doubles, six home runs, and 34 RBI this year in Triple-A. Banfield played in seven games for the Reds in 2025, recording one hit in 10 at-bats.
