Cincinnati Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz singled and scored in the first inning of Thursday's game against the Miami Marlins.
It was the All-Star's 100th hit of the season, joining Barry as the second primary shortstop in franchise history with 100 or more hits before the All-Star break.
After his first at-bat on Thursday, De La Cruz is hitting .279 with an OPS of .840.
On Sunday, De La Cruz was named to his second-straight All-Star game.
