The Cincinnati Reds transferred the rehab assignment of starting pitcher Rhett Lowder to Triple-A Louisville on Friday.

Lowder is expected to pitch for the Bats on Friday night.

The 23-year-old has made two rehab starts, one for the ACL Reds, and one for High-A Dayton. He has allowed six earned runs on nine hits over six innings in his two starts. He's walked a batter and struck out 10.

It will be interesting to see what the Reds elect to do with Lowder once he is ready.
