Rhett Lowder is the Reds top prospect. The Reds shut him down in 2023 after taking him with the seventh overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft. That means he is going through his first full season of professional baseball.

Lowder made his first start since the All-Star break for the Chatanooga Lookouts on Saturday night, and it was one of his best starts of the season.

The right-hander tossed five innings of scoreless baseball, allowing just three hits and striking out three.
