Cincinnati Reds veteran starting pitcher Wade Miley made a rehab start for Double-A Chattanooga on Friday night.

The left-hander gave up one run on one hit over 1 2/3 innings. He walked two and struck out two. He threw 20 of his 38 pitches for strikes.

Miley has appeared in three games for the Reds this season. He's 1-0 with a 6.75 ERA and seven strikesouts in 12 innings.

He was placed on the injured list with a left flexor strain in the middle of June.

The Cincinnati Reds are 64-59 and just a half game back of the New York Mets for the third and final National League Wild Card spot.
