The Braves’ bullpen has been much better of late, outside of last night’s ninth inning when Raisel Iglesias nearly surrendered a four-run lead. Guys are starting to step up, and the relief core could be getting another boost in the coming days, with Craig Kimbrel earning a promotion to Gwinnett.
Yes, Craig Kimbrel is officially with @GoStripers in Jacksonville today. He last pitched for Gwinnett on 9/6/10, a span of 14 years, 7 months, and 16 days. The current longest span between outings in club history belongs to today's starter Chasen Shreve (10 years, 7 months). pic.twitter.com/X7NjBg98T7

The nine-time All-Star and former Braves closer has spent the last week in AA Columbus, making young prospects look foolish at the plate. He did not allow a hit over 3.1 innings and recorded six strikeouts.
When the Braves signed Craig Kimbrel, it did not come with a guarantee that he would join the major-league roster at any point. He was going to have to earn it the old-fashioned way, and to this point, he’s done just that. With another solid outing or two in Gwinnett, he could rejoin the Braves at some point over the next week.
