PHOENIX — Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll continued to add on to his magical 2025 season during the D-Backs’ series against the Boston Red Sox.
Carroll made franchise history on Aug. 24 against the Cincinnati Reds when he stole his 19th and 20th bases of the season, securing a third consecutive 20-home run and 20-stolen base season — the only Diamondback to achieve the feat. The 25-year-old D-Back added another milestone to his young career against Boston.
On Sept. 5, Carroll hit his 30th home run off Red Sox pitcher Justin Slaten, marking the first time he has reached 30 homers in a season. He is now one stolen base shy of securing a 30-25 season for the first time in his career.

“[Carroll is] a slug machine,” D-Backs manager Torey Lovullo said, according to Arizona Sports post-game. “To hit 30 home runs, in my opinion, I felt like that day was going to be coming for him. The second half of last year helped him grow up and he’s just picked up where he left off.”
The 30th home run also marked some MLB history for Carroll.
Carroll has 30 home runs and 16 triples this season, becoming the first player to record at least 30 home runs and 15 triples in a season since the Phillies’ Jimmy Rollins did it in 2007, the year he won the National League MVP.
The D-backs outfielder also leads the league in extra-base hits this season, with 75 after his double against Boston on Sept. 6 to surpass Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani.
In one of the team’s most important stretches of the season, Carroll continues to add to the record books and contribute to the D-Backs with his speed and power.
The Arizona Diamondbacks wrap up their series against the Boston Red Sox on Sunday, Sept. 7.
