As hard as it is to believe, the Diamondbacks first game of spring training is right around the corner.  The schedule opens with a "road" game against the Colorado Rockies at Salt River Fields on February 23rd, and the next day they play a split squad road game against the Rockies as the home team.

The Diamondbacks spring training tickets can already be purchased at Sports Illustrated's ticket site by clicking this link. Tickets will also go on sale on the team's website on Friday, December 15th, at 1:00 P.M.

With the first game taking place on February 23rd, and there being 29 days in the month next year, the D-backs will actually play seven spring training games before the calendar even flips to March. In total the team will play 32 spring training games, including 16 home games at Salt River Field.  All of those home games begin at 1:10 P.M.  They then play  two exhibition games against the Cleveland Guardians at Chase Field before the season opener March 28th against the Rockies.

This will be the Diamondbacks 13th season at Salt River Fields at talking stick.
