The Los Angeles Dodgers made the biggest move of the MLB trade deadline on Saturday night when they acquired Tarik Skubal from the Detroit Tigers.
Dodger fans have anxiously awaited the announcement of Skubal's first start as a member of his new team, and that was finally revealed Sunday afternoon.
According to Los Angeles president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman, Skubal's first start as a member of the Dodgers is scheduled to be Tuesday at Wrigley Field against the Chicago Cubs.
Skubal's scheduled start day would've been Monday without a trade, but he will now get an extra day to regroup and get familiar with his new teammates and coaching staff.

Skubal made one start against Chicago last season, and it is a lineup that will be fairly similar on Tuesday when he faces it again.
In that start last season, Skubal went 6 2/3 innings, allowing just one run and striking out six batters. Skubal's last start against the Cubs before that came all the way back in 2023 against a completely different lineup.
It's safe to assume that Wrigley Field will be a rowdy environment on Tuesday night when Skubal takes the mound and two of the top teams in the National League square off.
