Derek Jeter roasts Colin Cowherd over their last interview

Derek Jeter has a long memory when it comes to talking with Colin Cowherd.

The Hall of Fame shortstop was a guest on “The Herd” Monday, two years after a previous appearance saw him have to awkwardly correct Cowherd’s incorrect comment about Jeter facing Nolan Ryan. Jeter was not prepared to let Cowherd live that down on Monday.

“Before we get started, I just want to remind you, you just said smart people make mistakes. Last time I was on your show, you asked me about facing Nolan Ryan. Let’s just hope you got your facts straight this time,” Jeter said.

Cowherd got a big laugh out of the roast, so he clearly did not take it personally. Still, it’s pretty great that Jeter sat on that for two years before using it on him again.

While Cowherd himself was unbothered, some of his critics will probably enjoy seeing him get roasted by Jeter. In this case, it might not necessarily have been warranted, but it was still pretty funny.
