The Detroit Tigers' farm system has grown by leaps and bounds in recent years with star prospects like starting pitcher Jackson Jobe beginning to make a pronounced impact at the Major League level.

Jobe entered 2025 as the Tigers' number one overall prospect just ahead of Max Clark before making his presence felt in Motown.

The Tigers' current number two prospect, shortstop/second baseman Kevin McGonigle, has turned heads during his time with Advanced A affiliate West Michigan this season, culminating in a big performance on Sunday during what was an exciting day for the Tigers' franchise on the diamond.

"Detroit Tigers #2 prospect Kevin McGonigle is UNREAL," the X page Crunch Time Sports wrote on Sunday.

"He entered today's game batting .388 with a 1.141 OPS in West Michigan."

McGonigle's White Caps are now 36-15 on the season after an 11-3 win over the Dayton Dragons that included three hits and two walks from the Tigers' rising prospect.

He compiled a double and four total bases on the day.

McGonigle now ranks 26th among all MLB prospects while outfielder Max Clark ranks seventh overall, putting himself in line for a potential call-up to the majors.

The Tigers have the best record in Major League Baseball after their 1-0 win over the Kansas City Royals on Sunday, as closer Will Vest shut the door on Detroit's AL Central rivals.

The strong play of both prospects gives Detroit two potential future stars who could help spearhead a trip to the World Series, if they are able to tap into their immense potential in a Detroit uniform.
