The Detroit Tigers will play the middle game of their three-game series against the St. Louis Cardinals today. They wrap up their series against the Cardinals tomorrow night on Sunday Night Baseball. Fans were excited to see Justin Verlander make his first start at Comerica Park since signing with the team that he started his career with. That will have to wait as Verlander has been placed on the injured list with left hip inflammation. To take his spot the Tigers have recalled right-handed pitcher Keider Montero from Triple-A Toledo. It’s TBD on who will start tomorrow night’s game against the Cardinals with Verlander now out.
