The Detroit Tigers returned home on a five-game losing streak. They were swept by the Minnesota Twins during the week. Yesterday in the finale, the Tigers saw outfielder Parker Meadows leave the game after a collision with Riley Greene. Meadows today has been placed on the injured list with a concussion and a broken arm. The Tigers are recalling outfielder Wenceel Perez from Triple-A Toledo.

Parker Meadows

Meadows, this season in 12 games, is hitting .250 with a .641 OPS. He has a double, a triple, two RBI, three runs scored, and three stolen bases. Meadows is in his fourth season with the Tigers, who drafted him in the second round of the 2018 MLB Draft. In 189 games, he has hit .233 with a .691 OPS. Meadows has 23 doubles, 11 triples, 16 home runs, 59 RBI, 83 runs scored, and 24 stolen bases. He joined the Tigers organization in 2018.

Wenceel Perez

Perez, in ten games at Triple-A this season, is hitting .250 with a .807 OPS. He has three doubles, two home runs, four RBI, nine runs scored, and three stolen bases. In 212 career big league games with the Tigers, he has hit .243 with a .709 OPS. Perez has 33 doubles, ten triples, 22 home runs, 80 RBI, 98 runs scored, and 17 stolen bases. He joined the Tigers organization in 2017.
