The Detroit Tigers wrap up their three-game series with the Boston Red Sox tonight. They’re looking to avoid being swept after they dropped the first two games of the series. They lost the first game 5-4 after leading 2-0 going into the seventh. They then dropped the middle game after going down 3-0 in the first; they did make it 3-2, but the Red Sox had a five-run third inning to take the game. Ahead of tonight’s game, the Tigers are placing second baseman Gleyber Torres on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique strain. Torres hasn’t played since Saturday, missing the last three Tigers games. To take Torres’ spot, the Tigers are recalling infielder Jace Jung from Triple-A Toledo.
