The Detroit Tigers finished up their 2025 home regular season at Comerica Park on Sunday with a 6-2 loss to the Atlanta Braves that dropped AJ Hinch's team's record to 85-71 on the season.

Detroit has a one game lead on the Cleveland Guardians for first place in the American League Central with two series left on the road against Cleveland and the Boston Red Sox.

The Tigers announced their season long attendance number after the game, reaching a mark not seen since the 2016 season as fans flocked to the 'CoPa' in droves to watch one of the franchise's best teams in years.

Tigers' Impressive 2025 Attendance

The Tigers finished the season with 2,413,442 fans, an increase of over 500,000 fans compared to 2024.

The Tigers hadn't drawn that many fans since 2016, when 2,493,859 fans attended games at the downtown Detroit ballpark.

The Tigers became one of MLB's must-see teams as they sent six players to the 2025 MLB All-Star Game, the fourth time in franchise history.

Tigers Prepare for Final Stretch

The Tigers clung to a slim one game American League Central Division lead heading into Tuesday night's 6:40 p.m. game against the Guardians in Cleveland.

The Tigers are expected to send Tarik Skubal and Jack Flaherty to the mound for games one and two of the series with the third game's starting pitcher yet to be determined.

Tigers fans remain in a state of shock following their team's challenging situation. A team that held the best record in baseball at one point is now playing for its playoff life against an opponent that has tormented them in recent years.

Detroit fans showed up at the turnstiles all season, now it's up to the players to keep the good mojo going ahead of what should be two intense, playoff-like atmospheres in Cleveland and Boston in the coming days.
