Dodgers 24-Year-Old Ex-Top Prospect Named 'Potential Trade Candidate'

The Los Angeles Dodgers will have to make some tough decisions on their 40 and 26-man roster heading into the campaign after re-signing Enrique Hernandez.

While the Dodgers are loaded and, on paper, the best team in Major League Baseball by a wide margin, there's some under-the-radar talent on their roster who could be moved.

Among them is youngster Andy Pages, a 24-year-old who's shown promise throughout his early career.

Maren Angus of Dodgers Nation believes he could be impacted by the Dodgers signing Hernandez, naming Pages one of three trade candidates.

"The outfielder is young and has plenty of upside after finishing the season slashing .248/.305/.407. Pages has accrued 155 days of major league service time and has one option year left after being optioned in both 2023 and 2024," Angus wrote.

Moving on from young talent is much easier for the Dodgers than nearly any other team in baseball.

Not only would the Dodgers be able to replace him with someone already on the roster in Hernandez, but if Hernandez were to ever deal with an injury, Los Angeles has prospects to trade in future deals.

Pages could welcome a trade at this stage of his career, too. He needs to show he's good enough to land a contract, and with this current Dodgers team, there isn't much room for that.
