The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees on Friday. This 2024 World Series rematch delivered, with Shohei Ohtani homering twice after Aaron Judge homered in the first inning to give New York an early lead.

LA was without star shortstop Mookie Betts for this game, as he is dealing with a toe fractured sustained in his home (via Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times). This is just one of several injuries plaguing the Dodgers right now, with many of the team's injury issues being related to the pitching staff.

On Saturday, the Dodgers announced more injury news and an accompanying roster move.

Right-handed starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow has made just five starts this season. An All-Star for the Dodgers last year, Glasnow has dealt with injuries throughout his career and has been on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation.

On Saturday, the Dodgers announced Glasnow has been moved to the 60-day injured list. To replace him on the roster, LA claimed catcher Chuckie Robinson off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels.

Being without Glasnow is major news for a Dodgers team already down several key arms. Appearing in 22 games last season, Glasnow posted a 3.49 ERA in 134 innings pitched. For his career, the 6-foot-8 right-hander owns a 3.83 ERA with 869 strikeouts in 681.2 innings.

As for who LA is adding, Robinson has just 51 games of MLB experience and has not appeared in a game at the big league level this season. The 30-year-old appeared in 26 games for the Chicago White Sox last season. The Angels also announced this move on their end.
