Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Blake Snell has yet to pitch this season due to left shoulder fatigue. The 33-year-old has been managing the issue since last October, when he helped the Dodgers secure their second straight World Series title. But after months of rest, treatment and a cautious buildup, Snell is finally nearing a return.

The 10-year MLB veteran began a rehab assignment on Wednesday in Single A as he continues to build up his workload, with the goal of rejoining the Dodgers rotation sometime in May.

When he does return, it will be a major boost. Snell has found a true home in Los Angeles after signing a five-year, $136 million contract in November 2024. While injuries limited him to just 11 starts last season, he was dominant when available, posting a 2.35 ERA and delivering postseason heroics that helped define the Dodgers championship run.

Snell has also continued to expand his presence as one of MLB’s most recognizable faces, especially now that he plays in a major market.

One of his most recent partnerships is with Heavenly Heat Saunas, a company specializing in handcrafted home saunas. Snell has credited the brand for aiding his recovery, a meaningful endorsement as he works his way back from his current shoulder issue.

On Friday, ahead of Los Angeles series opener against the Chicago Cubs, Snell teamed up with the company to announce a giveaway for fans.

“Recovery days hit different Dialed in with @heavenlyheatsaunas, keeping recovery just as intentional as the work. Red light therapy and sauna sessions are a non-negotiable for me. Now it’s your turn to level up your recovery game like me. Enter to win my same setup. Check out the details below!” he wrote.

The giveaway includes multiple products, with fans eligible by completing simple Instagram actions such as liking, saving and commenting on the post.

Transitioning back to baseball, Snell remains one of the most dominant pitchers of his generation when healthy. Injuries have been the only thing capable of slowing him down. He is a two-time Cy Young Award winner, an All-Star and, as of last season, a World Series champion.

With his return drawing closer, the Dodgers know that getting Snell back on the mound could shift the trajectory of their season in a hurry.
