Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Joe Kelly probably never could have guessed that a video of him breaking a window with a pitch during a coronavirus-related quarantine would be used to call MLB owners out regarding the start of the 2020 season amid the pandemic.
On Monday, fellow Dodgers pitcher Dustin May included Kelly's errant throw in a package that also delivered the following message to owners:
"We ready... Tell us when and where."

Like many of his peers, May hasn't remained silent as the owners and players have privately negotiated terms for beginning what will be a shortened campaign. He retweeted a video that Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Andrew McCutchen produced to mock proposals offered by owners throughout the spring. May also voiced his displeasure via social media over being away from mounds:
This thing called baseball has been missing for quite some time...

May's latest Twitter venting session comes days after the MLB Players Association received an offer to play a 72-game season at a pay rate approximately equal to what they'd receive for 50 games. Barring unforeseen circumstances, the players are expected to reject any plans that don't include fully prorated salaries.
MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred reserves the right to schedule a season limited to roughly 50 games per an agreement the union and owners made in March.
