The Los Angeles Dodgers have been able to continue staying atop the NL West division despite battling an outrageous number of injuries in the pitching rotation.
It seems that the team can't catch a break, and they will have to continue adjusting with more unfortunate news released on Saturday.
After struggling to find a rhythm since returning in late April, Tony Gonsolin will be heading back to the injured list after experiencing elbow discomfort in his throwing arm.

The 2022 All-Star missed all of the 2024 season while recovering from Tommy John surgery, missed the beginning of 2025 after suffering a back injury in Spring Training while lifting weights, and now he's back on the injured list again after starting in just seven games.
Although it's another unfortunate blow for the Dodgers, the team made a couple of other moves in the pitching rotation that are more on the positive side.
After going through a stints on the injured list, relief pitchers Michael Kopech and Kirby Yates were activated and will be available for the Dodgers moving forward.
Kopech hasn't seen the field all season after a suffering a right shoulder impingement, and Yates will be returning to the Dodgers rotation after coming up with a right hamstring strain on May 17 against the Los Angeles Angels.
The Dodgers made a ton of moves before their second matchup against the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday, and with all of these decisions came with Los Angeles also designating pitcher Chris Stratton for assignment.
Dodgers' manager Dave Roberts continues to scramble for answers despite the team still leading the NL West division with a record of 38-26.
The pitching issues have continue to weight on Los Angeles. though, and it's resulted in the team having an even 5-5 record in their last 10 games.
