Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Tanner Scott is having a successful turnaround season following a disappointing performance in 2025, which was impacted by injuries.

Last year, he recorded a 4.74 ERA while blowing 10 save opportunities. But this season, his resurgence has helped to stabilize the bullpen.

Scott effortlessly stepped into a high-leverage role, replacing Edwin Diaz, who was sidelined from his closer duties on April 20 due to an elbow injury that later required surgery.

Across Scott's last 10 appearances, he has only given up three hits and continues to put up scoreless innings. The All-Star is sporting a 1-1 record and 1.25 ERA with 25 strikeouts and 0.60 WHIP this season.

Tanner Scott's revival has become crystal clear

Scott hasn’t given up an earned run since April 24, showcasing his elite shutdown dominance and comeback performance.

Scott's frustrating 2025 campaign can be left in the past, as he has rediscovered the aggressive, confident form that made him one of the biggest threats in MLB before joining the Dodgers.

His success has been supported by a phenomenal chase rate of 45.3% that sits in the 100th percentile. He boasts a 4.1% walk rate (98th percentile) and 31.1% strikeout rate (94th percentile), exemplifying his dominance on the mound.

The Dodgers' bullpen has been immaculate, recording a 38-inning scoreless run (May 12-24). It is the longest by any MLB bullpen since 2017 by Cleveland (38 2/3 innings).

During this stretch, Scott's performance has highlighted him as a dominant high-leverage arm, posting a 0.00 ERA, a 0.92 WHIP and notching one save across five appearances. As well, he has surrendered just two hits and one walk during that stretch while recording seven strikeouts across 5.1 innings pitched.

The Dodgers' 5-1 victory against the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday was just another example of Scott's undeniable excellence in the pen, pitching a scoreless inning with two strikeouts.
