The Los Angeles Dodgers will get superstar Mookie Betts back in the lineup on June 3, according to manager Dave Roberts.
Betts has been battling a fractured toe, but he was able to get through warm-ups, batting practice and pregame fielding drills on June 2 without issue ahead of the matchup with the New York Mets.
Now, he's set to make his return the following evening.
Unfortunately, good news for one often means bad news for another in the baseball world. With more of a pitching need on the 40-man roster following the Betts news, it was reported that the Dodgers are signing veteran journeyman José Ureña.
Later in the day on June 3, The Athletic's Fabian Ardaya reported a corresponding 40-man roster move on X.
Sources: Dodgers will designate C Chuckie Robinson for assignment to clear a 40-man spot for RHP José Ureña, who is signing a MLB deal. Robinson was just claimed a couple days ago off waivers.

"Sources: Dodgers will designate C Chuckie Robinson for assignment to clear a 40-man spot for RHP José Ureña, who is signing a MLB deal," Ardaya relayed. "Robinson was just claimed a couple days ago off waivers."
The 30-year-old Robinson has earned major league stints with the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago White Sox in 2022 and 2024, respectively. But he hasn't managed to stick on an MLB roster, with a lowly .132 career batting average and .364 OPS.
The Dodgers claimed Robinson off waivers from the crosstown rival Los Angeles Angels. The plan was seemingly for him to serve as veteran organizational depth at catcher, but other needs have quickly nixed that idea.
Behind starter Will Smith, rookie Dalton Rushing is now the lone Dodgers catcher on the 40-man roster following the DFA of Robinson.
Although LAD also has Hunter Feduccia and Chris Okey as depth options at Triple-A, should they need them.
