The Atlanta Gladiators have added size and versatility to their forward group, signing two-way forward Joseph “Joe” Mack ahead of the final stretch of the 2025–26 season.
Mack, a 6-foot-3, 198-pound right-shot forward from New Hudson, Michigan, joins Atlanta after a productive season with the Athens Rock Lobsters of the FPHL, where he recorded 21 goals and 29 assists for 50 points in 42 games. Known for impacting the game in all three zones, Mack brings a combination of offensive production and responsible defensive play that fits the profile of a reliable two-way forward.
Mack’s foundation was built early through high-level development and championship success. During the 2016–17 season, he captured both the HPHL 16U Championship and the USA Hockey 16U Tier I National Championship, demonstrating his ability to contribute to winning teams from a young age.
He later advanced to the OHL, appearing in 167 games with the Erie Otters and Sarnia Sting, recording 22 goals and 22 assists for 44 points while competing against top junior talent.
Mack continued to boost his game in the NAHL with the Shreveport Mudbugs during the 2020–21 season. He posted 21 goals and 16 assists for 37 points in 45 games and played a key role in Shreveport’s run to the Robertson Cup Championship, continuing to reinforce his capacity to perform in pressure-filled situations.
Mack transitioned to the USports level with Lakehead University, where he spent four seasons developing into a complete, dependable forward. Across 89 collegiate games, he recorded 22 goals and 34 assists for 56 points, continuing to contribute offensively while refining his defensive responsibilities.
His contribution was recognized early in his collegiate career, earning USports (OUA West) All-Rookie Team honors and selection to the OUA Far West First All-Star Team during the 2021–22 season. Those honors highlighted both his immediate impact and his ability to stand out within a competitive conference.
As the Gladiators move deeper into the final stretch of the regular season, Mack provides another multi-purpose option within the forward group. His combination of size, offensive production, and two-way reliability adds depth to a lineup that continues to evolve.
Coming off a strong season in the FPHL, Mack will look to translate that success to the ECHL level while bringing a dependable presence on both ends of the ice.
For Atlanta, this signing shows a continued focus on adding players who do not merely contribute offensively but also back the structure and consistency required down the stretch.
