Vladimir Guerrero Jr. looked “born ready” for his close-up thanks to some stellar camerawork after Game 6 of the ALCS.
The Toronto Blue Jays first baseman was one of the driving forces on Sunday that helped get Canada’s team to within one game of the World Series. The home team thumped the Seattle Mariners convincingly in a 6-2 affair at Rogers Centre in Toronto.
During his postgame interview, Guerrero Jr. was asked by Sportsnet’s Hazel Mae whether he was ready for the franchise’s first Game 7 in 40 years. The Blue Jays star, feeling the crowd completely behind him, gave the most pregnant of pauses before answering.
Give this cameraman a raise and all the awards. Absolutely nailed a magical moment and answer from Vladdy Jr.

“You asked me if I’m ready,” said Guerrero Jr. “I’m born ready. I’m born ready, and I want it all for this city.”
The cameraman of the interview earned his month’s paycheck with one awesome panoramic shot of Guerrero soaking in the moment.
Some may consider the scene to be a tad over the top, or even downright cheesy. But try telling that to any Blue Jays fans who have waited decades, or even their entire lifetime, for their team to return to the World Series.
Guerrero Jr. hit 2-for-4 in the Blue Jays’ Game 6 win on Sunday, including a home run that gave the Blue Jays a decisive 5-0 lead in the bottom of the fifth inning.
