The Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs are opening the 2025 MLB regular season with the Tokyo Series in Japan from March 18-19.

The two-game series will be played at the Tokyo Dome, with local start times of 7:10 p.m. (3:10 a.m. PT) for both contests.

Fox is going to nationally broadcast the opener and Fox Sports 1 will have coverage of the second game. SportsNet LA is providing live coverage of the Tokyo Series as well, with Joe Davis handling play-by-play duties.

Davis will be joined by Eric Karros in the Dodgers broadcast booth as Orel Hershiser recently underwent hip surgery and is going to miss the Tokyo Series, per David Vassegh of AM 570 L.A. Sports:

Hershiser is expected to make a full recovery in time for the Dodger Stadium home opener against the Detroit Tigers on March 27.

Hershiser has been a staple of Dodgers broadcasts since SportsNet LA launched in 2014. Before his career as an announcer, he enjoyed a near two-decade long MLB career that included 13 seasons with L.A.

Karros also had a lengthy playing career with the Dodgers before going on to become a broadcaster for Fox Sports and eventually SportsNet LA in 2022.

SportsNet LA is entering their 12th season as the exclusive home of Dodgers games. In addition to broadcasting both Tokyo Series games, the network is going to televise exhibition contests against the Yomiuri Giants and Hanshin Tigers on Saturday, March 15.
