Fan interrupts Monday's Mets-Giants game, pretends to pitch

The San Diego Padres may be 11 games back from the league-leading San Francisco Giants, but that isn't stopping their fans from having some fun at the Orange and Black's expense.

Well, at least that's the case for one fan who ran onto the Oracle Park field during Monday's Giants game against the visiting New York Mets.

During the top of the ninth inning, a fan in Padres garb ran in from the outfield waiving at the stands as he made his way toward the visitors' dugout. He then eluded multiple security personnel and jogged to the mound, where he pretended to shake off a catcher's signs and throw out a pitch. The fan was mid-windup when he was finally taken down by security.

Players and fans alike appeared equally confused, with many in the stands booing the on-field antics. Of course, that didn't stop many from capturing the crazy scene on video.

The Giants defeated the Mets 7-5.
