Major League Baseball fans rejoiced on Thursday as the owners and player's union agreed on a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA), thus putting an end to the nearly 100-day lockout. With the CBA now in place, Opening Day is expected to be April 7.
Until then, there is expected to be a eruption of player transactions.

The labor deal received a 26-12 vote in favor from the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA.) Just last week, it was announced that the first two series of the 2022 regular season would be postponed.
According to USA Today's Bob Nightengale , the first game on Opening Day is scheduled to feature the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees.
