Game Recap: Red Sox Snap 17 Inning Scoreless Streak; Lose Middle Game to Yankees

The Red Sox suffered a 4-1 loss to the Yankees 4-1 tonight. The Yankees opened the scoring early with a three-run home run from Amed Rosario in the first inning. Rosario was at it again in the third as he drove in another run on a sacrifice fly. The Red Sox got their lone run in the ninth inning as Jarren Duran singled home Trevor Story.

Max Fried continued his dominance against the Red Sox, earning the win. The southpaw surrendered three hits and zero runs over eight innings, striking out nine and walking two. Ranger Suarez took the loss for Boston. The Red Sox southpaw went four and two-thirds innings, giving up four runs on five hits, striking out four and walking two.

Jarren Duran went 3-for-4 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Giancarlo Stanton was the only Yankee with multiple hits, going 2-for-4.

Amed Rosario hurt the Red Sox tonight, contributing to all four Yankees runs. The home run and the sacrifice fly. He finished going 1-1 with the three-run home run, a sacrifice fly, four RBI, and a run scored.
