ATLANTA — The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets baseball might just have the most dangerous lineup in college baseball — and the numbers back it up.
Under first-year head coach James Ramsey, the Yellow Jackets have stormed out to a 12–1 start and climbed into the national top five early in the 2026 season.
And they’re not just winning — they’re obliterating baseballs.
Georgia Tech’s offense has already produced multiple explosive games, including a 27-run outburst and a 25-1 demolition of Georgia Southern, continuing a trend of historic offensive production in Atlanta.
The offensive machine didn’t appear overnight. Since Ramsey began overseeing the lineup in 2019, Tech has led the ACC in batting average (.308), OPS (.918), on-base percentage (.408), hits and doubles, while ranking near the top of the conference in runs, home runs and RBIs.
In short: the Jackets rake.
The fireworks happen at Russ Chandler Stadium, one of college baseball’s most electric ballparks. Tucked into Midtown Atlanta and packed with loyal fans, the venue has become a launching pad for one of the nation’s most relentless offenses.
Ramsey deserves plenty of credit. The former Georgia Tech standout has quickly turned the program into an offensive juggernaut while maintaining the aggressive, fearless style that has defined Yellow Jackets baseball for decades.

The result? A lineup that scores in bunches, a team climbing the rankings, and a fan base starting to whisper something bold.
Maybe — just maybe — this Georgia Tech squad isn’t just good.
Maybe it’s one of the best college baseball teams ever assembled.
