Giants vs. Phillies: The San Francisco Giants begin a road trip this week to the East Coast with a three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies. Game 1 starts at Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday evening.

San Francisco is going through a good spell at the moment after a dreadful start to the season . They clinched their third series in a row after beating the Miami Marlins on Sunday. The Giants are inching closer to .500 with a 13-15 record.

Philadelphia, meanwhile, has not won a series of any kind since the start of the month. They went down to the Atlanta Braves on Sunday after ending a 10-game losing streak the previous day. The Phillies are currently 9-17 for the season with the joint-worst record in the MLB.

Aaron Nola put the Phillies into a 3-0 hole just three batters into the game. The offense had just one hit against Chris Sale in six innings. Phillies go 1-6 on the road trip, following a 2-7 homestand. They are 9-19 and 10 1/2 back in the NL East.
