Finalists for the 2025 American League and National League Gold Glove Awards were announced on October 15. Teams that were and are active in the postseason were well-represented on the finalists’ lists. Both the Blue Jays and Cubs received six total nominations, while the Brewers had some familiar faces on the list. Plus, stars Bryce Harper & Corey Seager were also among the finalists.

The Blue Jays placed five individuals, including Ty France, who spent the final two months of the year with Toronto after he was acquired from the Twins. Ernie Clement is up for two Gold Gloves, one at third base and another at the utility spot, giving the Jays six overall nominations.
Cleveland, another strong defensive group, saw Carlos Santana, Jose Ramirez, and three-time Gold Glove winner Steven Kwan get position nominations. Daniel Schneeman received a utility spot nomination.

Six Cubs are finalists, including Pete Crow-Armstrong. Crow-Armstrong finished the year with a +24 Outs Above Average per the league’s Statcast system, tied for first in the Majors alongside Bobby Witt Jr.
Also included are Ke’Bryan Hayes and Fernando Tatis Jr., both former Gold Glove winners. Tatis Jr. also won the Platinum Glove in 2023. Brice Turang, Sal Frelick, and Patrick Bailey are among the 2024 winners who are looking for more hardware.
The Marlins placed three.
