Former Tennessee Vols OF Drew Gilbert is an absolute mad man - in a good way, of course. The San Francisco Giants and their fans are finding out about that right now, as the man who goes by "Gilly Goo Bear" on Twitter/X is going viral for his, let's say, very animated celebrations as the Giants make a very improbable but still impressive late season run for a playoff spot.
For reference, here's some Gilly Goo Bear goodness from the San Francisco Giants' own social media team.

Well, as it turns out, his wild antics have caught the attention of the Pat McAfee Show. McAfee and his show mates discussed Gilbert, and the topic of his dugout madness was both amusing and impressive to all of them.

After laughing as a group about Gilbert letting himself get "choked" and chewing like a dog on a coach's shirt, McAfee's former Indianapolis Colts teammate brought up Gilbert's bat flip when he was at Tennessee.
"I remember him, epic bat flip for the Volunteers," said Butler.
"This guy is a Tennessee Volunteer? We need him on Gameday," McAfee said. "He needs to be barking on Gameday."
Afterwards, they played the video clip of Gilbert's walk-off grand slam against Wright State in the 2021 NCAA Tournament. As Tennessee fans have known well, Gilbert flips the bat high in the air after watching the home run. That got McAfee's attention in a positive way.
"Alright, Drew Gilbert is one of my new favorite baseball players, McAfee added.
Gilbert has been the new favorite of many in the San Francisco Giants. In addition to his infectious energy and enthusiasm energizing the dugout, he's batting .242 with 3 home runs and 12 RBIs in his first 24 games in the big leagues. Not too shabby at all for a brand-new major leaguer.
While Gilbert can't be on Gameday this Saturday against Georgia due to his obligations on the baseball field, you can bet he would be - or at least should be - considered later this season if Tennessee has a marquee game - i.e., Oklahoma - that brings the show back to Knoxville for a second time like what happened in 2022.
