As was expected, Cleveland Indians president Chris Antonetti informed reporters on Thursday that manager Terry Francona will not travel with the team for a road series versus the Chicago White Sox as he continues to battle a gastrointestinal issue.

The 61-year-old skipper missed his fourth game in a row on Wednesday evening due to a stomach issue similar to one that bothered him during spring training back in March. It's believed this latest setback isn't related to COVID-19.
Cleveland lost four straight games and five of six before the club notched victories over the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday and Wednesday with former Indians catcher and first base coach Sandy Alomar Jr. serving as the team's interim manager. Cleveland hosts the Reds at Progressive Field on Thursday.
Cleveland returns home to face the Chicago Cubs next Tuesday.
