While it’s a fun story and the Braves might actually need him later in the season, it’s more of a testament to how poorly constructed Atlanta’s bullpen is right now. The club’s general manager opted to ignore it this offseason, despite losing A.J. Minter and Joe Jimenez, and the Braves have already paid the price on multiple occasions. Now, Anthopoulos will be working tirelessly cycling through new faces until something sticks.
