MLB injuries continue to take place, and the New York Mets suffered a blow after star slugger Juan Soto left the game against the San Francisco Giants. Soto couldn’t stay beyond the first inning as fans watched him leave. The slugger was hustling from first base to third when he seemed to be uncomfortable.
Soto exited the game, and the Mets continued to fight their way against the Giants and won with a 10-3 final score. Their success came without Juan Soto, but his injury is certainly a huge blow to the team.
During the game, the franchise took to social media to share an update on Soto. The Mets posted that Soto was removed from the game due to right calf tightness.

There has been no further update on his situation. However, the slugger is going through an examination, and hopefully he will get back soon. For now, Soto is expected to be out of the Mets lineup in tomorrow’s game.
Soto holds a batting average of .333. He crushed one home run with 10 hits and five RBIs this season. The outfielder is off to a strong start and is easily looking at another 40-plus home run season.
After signing the biggest contract in sports history, Juan Soto is locked in for the Mets. He wants to win a championship with the team. Soto has 14 years with the team, but he can opt out after five years.
The Mets are expected to avoid his opt-out by increasing his annual salary by $4 million. The Mets have experienced early struggles with Francisco Lindor and his team. There’s plenty of time for them to get back in the race, and Juan Soto will remain a vital part of the lineup.
