Falter has pitched in two games for the Royals this season with a 13.50 ERA without factoring into a decision. He has pitched in three and one-third innings. He gave up five earned runs and one home run. Falter allowed two walks, striking out four. Falter also has a 3.00 WHIP on the season.
The Kansas City Royals have recalled Luinder Avila from the Omaha Storm Chasers today, before the game with the Brewers. Avila had one win and one loss in 13 games with the Royals last season. He had a 1.29 ERA in 14 innings of work, giving up six walks, striking out 16, and a 0.93 WHIP. Avila has made one start for Omaha this season. Avila has a 6.00 ERA and a 2.00 WHIP in Triple-A. He pitched three innings in his start, with two walks and struck out three. He will start game one of the series for the Royals on Friday night.
