Hunter Harvey

Right-handed pitcher Hunter Harvey has been transferred from the 15-day to the 60-day injured list due to a right teres major strain. Initially placed on the 15-day IL in mid-April, Harvey had shown promise with a 5.1-inning scoreless streak before the injury setback. The move to the 60-day IL opens a spot on the 40-man roster and extends his recovery timeline. The Royals are optimistic about his return later in the season, depending on his rehabilitation progress.

Andrew Hoffman

In response to Harvey’s injury, the Royals have recalled right-handed pitcher Andrew Hoffman from Triple-A Omaha. Thomas Hatch

Additionally, the Royals have selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Thomas Hatch from Triple-A Omaha. Hatch, 30, brings a wealth of experience, having pitched in parts of four MLB seasons with the Blue Jays and Pirates. After spending the 2024 season with the Hiroshima Carp in Japan, Hatch has been working to regain his form. His addition to the roster provides the Royals with added depth and versatility in the pitching staff.
