Ketel Marte, who is now in his ninth season with Arizona, has been a model of consistency and leadership for this D-backs squad. Marte so far on the 2025 season has a .313 batting average and 15 home runs along with a 1.012 OPS, numbers that place him among the top offensive second basemen in the league. Marte’s defensive metrics are just as equally impressive that show range and elite instincts.
Marte’s presence in the Diamondbacks lineup has been a key reason the team remains in the playoff hunt. With several young stars around him, he’s taken on more of a leadership role, helping guide Arizona through a tightly contested NL West race.

Fan voting continues on, as the second phase will run from Monday June 30th, until Wednesday, July 2nd. The final rosters for the 2025 MLB All-Star game will be announced shortly after. Whether he’s voted in or chosen as a reserve, Marte’s performance speaks for itself as he’s once again playing at a top-notch level.
